How to claim professional development points

When you attend CONZTRUCT, you may be eligible to register for CPD and LBP points.

For Architects

1. Attend CONZTRUCT

Have the QR code on your e-ticket scanned upon event entry. If you don’t register or have your QR code scanned, your attendance will not be recorded.

2. Proof of attendance

We recommend you keep your attendance confirmation email (sent following the event) as evidence of your attendance and learning activity.

3. Applying for your points

We will submit your attendance to NZIA and they will apply your professional development points directly to your member profile.

For Licensed Building Practitioners & Designers

Learning at CONZTRUCT gives you the opportunity to fulfill your on-the-job learning requirement and claim self-directed learning points. You will need to complete a Record of Learning form (PDF) to claim your On-the-Job learning.

1. Attend CONZTRUCT

Have the QR code on your e-ticket scanned upon event entry. If you don’t register or have your QR code scanned, your attendance will not be recorded.

2. Proof of attendance *

You must keep your attendance confirmation email (sent following the event) as evidence of your attendance and learning activity.

3. Record of Learning

Fill in this form (PDF) with details of your learning. This could include learning about building products from speaking to exhibitors, learning from the keynote presentation, etc.

4. Keep a record

You can keep a record of your learning activities either online via the LBP online service, or by filling out a paper-based Skills Maintenance form (PDF).

NOTE: The recommended guide from the Ministry of Business, Innovation and Employment (MBIE) is that 1 hour = 1 LBP point.

* You may be asked to provide evidence of your learning activities. Your evidence of learning activities from attending CONZTRUCT is your Thank you for attending email that you will receive after the event.

Please speak to your respective Association for clarity over the developments points allocation for advice to meet the specific requirements of your relevant association.
