Traditionally Resene has had non-slip finishes available for paints, but there have been limited options for clear finishes. This new Resene Anti-Slip Grip Additive can be added to paints and clears which means it can be used in many more places to help keep people safe.
Slipping over on surfaces is a major cause of injury, especially on areas that get wet around pools or that aren’t under shelter. In the first 10 months of 2024, ACC claims for falling totalled over $1.8 billion!
That’s a lot of skidding, slipping, tripping and falling over. And it’s not just the financial cost, but the huge number of injuries that people all over the country have to recover from. It’s easy to reduce this risk by using non-slip finishes.
Simply add Resene Anti-Slip Grip Additive to your coating for a non-slip grip finish inside or out. Paint decks, paths, steps, stairs, patios, balconies, floors and more. Resene Anti-Slip Grip Additive may be added to a range of decorative and engineered coating topcoats that are available in a wide range of colours, so you can get the colours you want with this extra safety feature.
Use on foot trafficable areas, decks, paths and stairs made with materials such as bitumen, concrete and timber.
Add 250 g of Resene Anti-Slip Grip Additive per litre to pigmented or clear Resene flooring or foot trafficable coatings for wet slip resistance to meet the requirements of the NZ Building Code and AS 4586:2013.
Or use Resene Non-Skid Deck & Path, made with non-slip material tinted to your favourite colour to provide a non-slip finish.
