Most weatherproof cowls are manufactured in regions such as the US, Europe, and China, where UV indices are lower than in New Zealand. As a result, imported cowls tend to degrade more rapidly than anticipated, often leaving homeowners frustrated with exterior components that weather and become brittle prematurely.
Designed and crafted in New Zealand, the Chateau utilises an advanced material formulation that offers superior resistance to UV embrittlement, ensuring long-lasting durability. Available in both 125mm and 150mm sizes, it also boasts improved airflow performance.
The Chateau’s quiet monofilm backdraught shutters and its aerodynamic design offer up to a 16% increase in airflow rates compared to competitor models (for a typical NZ inline fan system), while reducing noise levels.
Tailored specifically for New Zealand’s harsh sun, climate, and pests, the Chateau features an integrated bird mesh on the underside to prevent pest intrusion. For added protection, an optional insect mesh (DCT0307) can be easily installed above the bird mesh.
